Who are Generation Z?

Generation Z includes individuals born approximately between the mid-1990s and the early 2010s. Following the Millennials, this generation is characterized by some distinctive behaviors and traits:

- Digital natives: They have had access to the internet from a young age and possess extensive experience with technology.

- Social media: They prefer platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where they consume visual and interactive content.

- Education, skills, and entrepreneurship: They use digital media for learning, self-knowledge, and taking on new challenges.

Expectations of Generation Z for corporate events

Technology and communication are essential in the day-to-day lives of Generation Z. They seek corporate events that offer interactivity, live streaming, and immersive experiences. They prefer brief, direct, and visual messages, which make it easier to capture their attention and avoid the fear known as FOMO (fear of missing out).

However, merely integrating technology is not enough. Events must provide opportunities to interact and learn, inspire curiosity, and generate genuine interest.

Aesthetics is another crucial aspect; they look for visually appealing events that are easily shareable on social media. Additionally, the involvement of influencers and content creators is an added element that can increase the event's appeal.

Social and environmental responsibility is also a priority for them. Generation Z values diversity and inclusion, as well as the promotion of significant changes such as gender equality, equality among ethnicities, and LGBTQ+ rights.

Finally, flexibility in schedules and mobility is fundamental. Generation Z prefers to have the freedom to attend in-person, digital, or hybrid events that fit their personal rhythms.

In summary, Generation Z is shaping corporate events with their handling of new tools and their more inclusive mindset regarding social rights, marking a positive evolution compared to Millennials.
